The ILO is one of the Departments in UJTVC that coordinates matters involving attachments, internships, apprenticeship, industrial partnership and linkages.
The office monitors and provides guided advice to trainees on possible attachment places and opportunities available in the market. The trainees are always briefed on the expectations and behavior before and after their industrial attachments.
During the industrial attachment trainees interact with real work experience that helps to develop in them creativity and employability skills that are relevant to their trade areas. These industrial exposures have helped some of the best attaches to secure meaningful employment in companies to which they were previously attached.
On the other hand, ILO also sources and maintains partnerships with industries that are mutual and beneficial to both stakeholders. The areas of interest on these partnerships & linkages include skills transfer, attachment opportunities, prospective employment and dual training.
